How to Track First-Class International Mail

Whether you are selling online or at your local store, it’s important to keep track of your international shipments. This way, you can be sure that your packages reach their destination on time and without any issues. USPS gives tracking for many items, making it easy to follow your mail. Here’s how to do it.

When you purchase a first class international service at a post office, the receipt will have an electronic delivery confirmation number towards the bottom. You can enter this number into the USPS website to track your parcels. The website also provides information on when your package is expected to arrive.

You can find the tracking number on your USPS receipt or by looking at your shipping label. It is any where from 20 to 22 digits long, and is segmented similarly to a credit card number. Once you enter it into the USPS website, it will give you a list of your packages that have been shipped.

Note that not all international services come with tracking. The cost and speed of your delivery depends on the service you choose and your country’s rules and regulations.

For example, First-Class International Mail (FCMI) only offers tracking to retail parcels up to 4.4 lbs. It is not available for commercial packages or to all locations. This is why it’s important to check with your country before selecting the right service for your needs. Also, the local postal service in your destination country may have additional tracking capabilities.
